The New Payments Platform (NPP) has made instant bank transfers the norm across Australia, settling each payment individually in real time through the Reserve Bank of Australia's Fast Settlement Service. PayID lets Australians send money using a phone number, email, or ABN instead of a full account number and name and the network now covers well over a hundred million enabled accounts.
